J-35 carrier fighter (PLAN) thread

How come there's two different stabilizer designs for the naval J-35?

Is it just me or is the 脆脆鲨 design evolving? Or are there different variations used by different groups? I can't keep track of all the different tail art I've seen, and in retrospect I'm starting to second guess if some of what I have in memory were just photoshoped fan pics.

Regarding the tails, we had the same discussion a few weeks ago ... and AFAIR the conclusion was, here are some prototypes and LRIP aircraft mixed and repainted as production aircraft.

I'm honestly still flabbergasted that the J35 and J15 drivers do not wear HMCDS.. or for that matter J20 even!

I think we've been over this.

They have HMDs for these modern fighters, but they do not wear them for all flights/sorties if HMDs are not needed because they have a HUD as baseline fitout and also because HMDs are heavier than regular flight helmets so there's no reason to strain a pilot's neck if there's not anticipated to be a use for it.
