The commenter of CCTV only mentioned J-15T being the "new" addition to Liaoning, the commenter then asked "is there going to be improved/new type of aircraft on Liaoning". The poster just have a elastic imagination.

I thought about that. The thing is, J-15T has already been shown on the Liaoning, so that wouldn't make sense.

The way I see it is that for people here J-15T on Liaoning is nothing new, but from CCTV reporting perspective it is new, especially it is new for J-15T being officially integrated into the force structure of Liaoning.

From their perspective that may be the case but I still don't see it. It'll be two years in a few months from when the J-15T was seen in an official capacity during the dual-carrier operations with the Liaoning and Shandong. It has been displayed as well many times operating from both STOBARs, especially during their May/June 2025 deployments, along with open-day port visits, so I don't see why they would be characterizing it as "new" in terms of being integrated into the STOBAR carrier operations.

It is yes, a relatively "new" aircraft still, but the Liaoning/Shandong have been operating air wings for a while now almost entirely composed of J-15Ts and J-15DHs. So that characterization would be odd to me.
