Millitary tech is a direct function of underlying economy. If no one here is sure about that strange-looking "WS-10a" or "AF-31", then it won't surprise me that it could be a new derivative of WS-10a, produced by a secret parallel project - quite logical though in light of China's economy.

The Telegraph should have the integrity to recuse Mr. Praveen Swami, a known strident Indian nationalist, from writing articles about China due to his exhibited anti-China bias. India did not warrant a mention because they are a mere buyer that is contributing money to the project. Using the standard set by Mr. Swami, we can lump Israel and all of the nations participating as buyers and money contributors in the F-35 project as nations possessing stealth technology.

Mr. Swami's list should either exclude India or include all of the F-35 participating nations. Any other choice is misleading.

3. In Swami’ world , India is second only to USA in millitary aviation industry, in which China desperately tries to catch up. (Note: the subtitle of the piece is “…China is making rapid progress towards producing a state-of-the-art fighter jet, to compete with the United States, India and Russia”)

Cheers!

You nailed it right there and there, buddy! Perhaps his logic is based on: India hopped onto the Russian wagon, have a stake on the PAK-FA project...

But in the end of the day, China get results when nobody can turn to...and India?
*cough*
LCA start about 5 years earlier than J-10 and what we got?
*cough*
Enough said.

Now let's see if there'd be any flight of J-20 tomorrow...by what I've been sniffing through BBS like CJDBY, the fixtures usually associate with first flight was only setting up in noon, so it makes sense not today. But what about tomorrow? That'd depend on how much the CAC wanna keep the big shots waiting I guess...

And guys, think I just found somethin' not posted here yet...

Definitely not delta wings. More like a mix between delta and trapezoidal wings.

Judging from the photos, there are one plane with black nozzle and the other with white nozzle. Wiki also suggests that there are two prototypes; numbered 2001 and 2002. My question is what's the difference between that two engines? Anyone familiar with engines can tell us?

can anyone post a photo of prototype nº 2002 ?? I havent seen one yet
