You gave the equation whcih states drag is a function of air density, drag coefficent, air velocity, and wing reference area. You cherry picked wing reference area to try to argue area being the so determing factor on drag, and try to draw inference to conclude J-20 having higher drag by misrepresenting fuselage area as wing reference area. You sir, will be the one who will flunk the test.
What is a wing but a 2D area or a square meter or feet, friction only has application over area not volume, only appliable as surface area and always will be like that, means skin friction, if they say times wing area is because the easiest surface appliable is a wing usually wings are considered as deltas or trapezoids and are easily described, the calculations for a fusleage will be also in square meters, not in volume, the J-20 has more square meters in fuselage area.

Sorry, you are completely wrong. The shape of the aircraft is important. The most classic example is Area Rule.

Remember, "Having a little knowledge is dangerous".

No one is arguing that drag is based on volume. Stop with such stupid strawman arguments.

Drag is also dependent on drag coefficient, not just wing area as you have attmpted to portrait.

I guess according to Mig-29, A wing shape like F/A-18 has the same drag as wing shape like J-8II, if they have the same wing area.

No offense but just because the J-10 didn't use the canards for roll in one video means that it can't use it for roll, ever? What kind of logic is that?
well then show me the Rafale, IAI Lavi,Gripen, Su-33, Su-35 or S-47 Berkut doing it, prove it with real evidence, you won`t find it because canards are lift surfaces while trailing edge flaps are widely used by canard delta fighters for roll, since delta have large trailing edge flaps they have large areas big enough to make a J-10 roll without too much lose of lift.

Real evidence of what? There is no evidence that any other fighter with canards can move the canards independently.

Sure, flaperons can be used to provide roll control, but that isn't a proof that canards cannot provide roll control.
