Iim not an expert but isn't the pilot seated extremely far to the front; barely any space left for radar or avionics! Or perhaps this is just a technical demonstrator/evaluator, never ment to go into production as a combat aircraft?

What are you talking about? Take a lot at the size of J-20's nose. More than enough room for radar or avionics. Although I agree that the current prototype probably didn't carry one since it is still in the prototype stage.

There are neither pictures nor videos to confirm this (roll and rapid turn) for now but the guy who leaked the news is a senior member on Feiyang. I think this information is pretty reliable.

The guy also said that the J-20 performed a rapid turn today. People who still think that the J-20 is an interceptor or striker should probably reevaluate their hypothesis.

Note: apparently it was an 80 degree turn and the J-20 was very slow when it executed the turn. How does this compare with other fighters?

Thanks ... at least some photos at top.81 showing it together with FC-1 06 !

There is a video on CD showing the J-20 flying at 45 degree angle. I couldn't send the link here since youku doesn't let you transfer the video link! People who have a CD account could check it out here:

lovely shot!
JF-17/FC-1 as far as I know is still has some weapons integration testing.
I wonder if the PAF pilot who is in china to fly FC-1/JF-17 would get a peak at the cockpit.

Hmmm. I'd say this image as far as we can see corresponds to the cockpit layout as suggested by the picture on huitong's.
