No gun right now. It would have to be above one of the air intakes, similar to F-35.

The weapon bay should be 4 + 2. I think a lot of people will be disappointed. However, I would rather J-20 to carry extra fuel than to carry an extra pair of missiles.

With that much space? I think 4+2 would be the extreme minimum, and only if the 4 in the ventral bay were PL-12As rather than Cs, which have the folding rear fins. I think the realistic load out with 5th generation weapons (PL-12C and beyond, PL-10) should be 6+2, the same as F-22, but that could change depending on whether there's a rear ventral bay, and also how big the side bays are.

other such as, J-20 likely to cary machine gun,but where ?in central fuselage/nose.similiar to F-18?
In aircraft ( and in other places? ) the caliber of machine guns is 13 mm or less. The US were using WWI type .50 machine guns even in the F-86 Sabre and contemporary USN aircraft, but then went to 20 mm cannon.

We saw two aircraft both numbered 2001.

That's finally a statement I was looking for !

Can You tell us more ? Have anyone seen them both at the same time or is this just the conclusion of these "minor" differences + esp. the engines ??

likely longer, this allow the aircraft to carry AAM with longer rocket motor.

according to a chinese websitem pakistan approach China for 5th gen. fighter to counter india T-50.
since J-20 will be to expensive, and unlikely that PLAAF will ever relelase the aircraft for export, strong possibility is J-21 ,single engine version of J-20 similioar to f-35.
according to aviation week, both china and russia are working on F-35 type aircraft.

If there was just one aircraft they wanted to look like two then they took the trouble to replace the tail pipes and change details near the cockpit, without adding that final touch, changing the number too.
Perhaps one is a not-flying test specimen that was let out to roll over the runway to attract everyones attention and is now back were it really belongs in a test rig. The other has been tested somewhere else, was flown in at night to make its "first test flight" over a city with some ten million inhabitants, then was flown out again to resume its test flying. You can't deny they presented a good show.
Question is what means 2001? it it a model number that describes both specimen. Will the number change when they are modified. It seems very strange to me, but the notions, that there is just one aircraft, with ever changing details or that a new aircraft would make its first flight over a large city are ever stranger.

You cannot call your hypothetical J-21 a version of J-20. The changes are so drastic that the whole aircraft design has to be done anew.

I don't know if anyone read this and has commented here already, but here is a quote from an ATOL article that touches in the J20 Mission.

Another CPPCC member, Major General Yin Zhuo of the PLA Navy, a son of a veteran general, also supported China to increase its military spending and construction of aircraft carriers. Asked whether China's development of the J-20 stealth jet fight goes against China's national defense strategy of active defense, Yin said J-20 is a land-based fighter and its purpose is to fight for the control of the air near China's territorial skies. "We don't deploy it outside our territories as the US deploys F-22 in Guan and Okinawa," Yin said.

So the official line is that it is indeed an Air Superiority Fighter and not a Strike Aircraft.

Official confirmation. Good. It will put the rumors to the rest.

of Course Modern Air superiority fighters can be used as Strike fighters look at the Raptor, Typhoon and newer versions of the Flanker and Eagle. Fitted with Air too ground Engagement systems.
