I believe that this is the first time we’ve seen an operational J-20 without luneberg lens. Was it carrying out patrol operations?

They really shouldn't be risking the signatures of the J-20 with patrols anywhere near Chinese eastern borders. It could be nearer to India or well within China.

Plenty sure that PLAAF would have flown J-20 without LL in many operations and exercises that weren't broadcasted publicly. Maybe it's just the first instance where it has been. I still doubt this would be near eastern borders where Japanese and Americans have eyes and ears switched on 24/7 for things like WZ-8, J-20 and so on.

9th brigade is operating off the eastern coast.

wow okay. That's surprising and interesting to note. I wonder how they assessed the risks for using the J-20 in this way. But it's also good to see how much operational exposure it seems getting and not being a hangar queen with delicate skin ;)

9th brigade is based in that general area, but that doesn't mean the aircraft operates at tactically significant distances without luneberg lenses that would be able to meaningfully compromise it.

Operating within Chinese air space near the coast versus operating in international airspace just outside China's territorial airspace versus operating deeper in international airspace many dozens or hundreds of km outside of China's territorial airspace... They're all very different.

First image of J-20 launching a missile? It is at 1:03 mark of the video. Literally blink of an eye.

GIF image of video, which slows this down a bit so the two frames of J-20 firing the missile are visible.

If legit, this is also the first confirmed image of a PL-15 missile being launched since it is launched from the belly bay.

PS: I take that back. The belly bay doesn’t appear to be open. It might be from the side bay.

PL-10 being launched from the port side, believed to be an early weapon launch test from a prototype

Based on your assessment, are these images of the J-20 prototype cockpit during the missile test?

Just out of curiosity your website is safe from the Chinese internet crackdown on military forums/bloggers, right?
