I saw some earlier versions of these in lower resolution, and they looked badly photoshopped. Now looking at these higher quality versions, I'm not so sure. Although the lighting still looks very strange, also the aliasing along the boundry of the aircraft, they look like the result of badly applied lasso tool.

Below is one of the images I saw earlier that led me to believe these are PSed:

EDIT: Yeah, I still think these are PSed, albeit more skilfully done than I was initially led to believe.

Do you know the source of these photos? I'm trying to find if it was posted in high resolution.


At Weibo they were posted first (at least by my understanding) by @央视军事 and even if I'm not sure about the question "psed or not psed" my feeling tells me that they look similar to the few shots we've seen from the J-20A being tested at Daocheng-Yading in September 2016.

the watermark of this photo is China National Radio, military channel, I'm not sure they have the intention to post some new PSed photos
