Indeed and even more since the serial number is already applied but psed!
And also, is there anything known if this image was taken at CAC at Chengdu-Huangtianba or already at an operational base?
You know a paper is going to suck, and most papers do, when they start quoting Napoleon or Sun Tzu or Clauswitz then spend an enormous part of the article talking about history that we already know before jumping into the itty bitty bits of data, insight and opinion.
Now i haven't got a clue what the commentary is about because I don't speak Russian. But what I can see is there are J10s J11s as well as J20s.
My how roles have been reversed. China is now where Russian once was and still wants to be militarily speaking.
