I'm not really sure if it's 1518 or a production airframe with WS-10H2. 1518 uses WS-10H, the petals here also seems kinda of short unlike Taihang II engines with longer petals so maybe it's still 1518?
two things. even if it's still a prototype but testing on 003 is a huge deal. the nozzles does match with WS-10C. black and silver. did they changed in WS-10H2 ? so many questions.

Edit - this aircraft carrying weapons so this could be the production model.. huge if true

Agreed, but it could also be no. 1518 or any other WS-10-powered prototype!

That is indeed true, but there is one milestone which is still worth mentioning...

... i.e.: If it is a J-15 powered by WS-10 (whether it's a prototype or not), this would still be the first time that we've had visual confirmation that any J-15 variant powered by WS-10 has operated from a carrier at sea??

I don’t see why it’s so hard to believe when they’ve been boosting J-15T numbers without a corresponding increase in AL-31 imports. Obviously they figured out naval aircraft engines for J-35 and it is not a stretch that they can apply the same process to WS-10H.
