If that is the first prototype/production aircraft, surely it could not have entered service, as I would expect the Air Force to want a minimum number delivered before making something operational.

Can you go operational with just one aircraft even?

The supposed J-15D, electronic warfare variant of the Chinese onboard fighter J-15. The plane made its maiden flight in Autumn 2016.

We've seen it a while ago. 123 is the highest we've identified so far.
