Other question: they tested it on EMALS and not on steam? Or on both and only EMALS is seen as interessting to the public?

We don't know.

We only know what cao gen specifically said, that a J-15 was successfully tested from an EM cat.
Whether the steam cat has also undergone a test or not, and whatever reasons for not testing it on the steam cat is completely speculative at this point.

There is no reason at all to think it has anything to do with interesting the public, considering most of the public doesn't care at all about EM vs steam cat let alone military matters at all, to this kind of degree.

Okay, I just discovered a site called Terra Server which features satellite photos from various commercial satellite operators that are very up to date and can be viewed, but with watermarks. BTW, the recent image from JNCX of the 055 hull was also probably taken from Terra Server, by someone who probably bought the image themselves considering the quality.

This image of huangdicun is from october 24 (taken by company digital globe); it looks completed, despite the low resolution and relatively plentiful watermarks (not purchased; screenshot), both catapults look pretty damn finished.
Of course we don't know when they reached that state, but based on the chronology of satellite images of Huangdicun, which goes back to October 17 being the earliest at this year (previously early being 2013), it already looked completed by then. In reality it was probably completed a bit earlier.
So based on this, it is very plausible that a J-15A could've been tested at the EM cat recently, given the state of completion the site looks like in the last month or so.

Now to wait for GE to update...

Hmmm ... I cannot edit my own post !????

So therefore as a PS: This site is the PLN's experimental catapult facility and a J-15 model in 704 institute, CSIC
I am curious about having a J-15 model here, just crash it in the pond (light blue water?)? I thought this site and the other at Wuhan is only to test deadweight cart.

You are correct.

That J-15 is almost definitely just a mock up, it could possibly be for verifying fitting of a J-15 to the catapult there for a time (not meant to be launched, just verifying spatial compatibility) or maybe even just part of a display.

The launch of J-15 would've probably occurred at Huangdicun NATF rather than this site.
