It would appear those shelters (not sure i'd call them hangars) are there to protect from the weather. Wind, snow, rain, hail, etc. As well as to protect against prying eyes above.

Roofs do look so thin that they can't protect even from cluster bomblets. Perhaps they could protect again shrapnel within a bomblet.
Besides, with open ends to the shelter, even a thicker roof wouldn't make much sense.

I mean maybe 50 poperly built hardened hangers have the same cost of a single j10c, why not just build them?

The PLA has dozens of underground air bases built into mountains and hills which can resist tactical nuclear strikes. Not every air base can be built to that spec though. And it's not like the forces of pineapple island can realistically threaten mainland airbases anyways.

If I'm not wrong from left to right:
1. IAI Lavi
2. J-10A
3. J-10C
4. Dassault Rafale
5. Eurofighter Typhoon
6. ?
7. JAS 39 Gripen
If this is accurate J-10C has pretty big nose compared to other similar sized fighters, also can anyone identify plane no. 6?

I'm a bit concerned about the J-10C's canopy, which is - or at least looks - wider and overall larger than the J-10A's, which is not correct.

And no. 06 in fact the is the British Aerospace EAP (= Experimental Aircraft Programme) as a technology demonstrator aircraft preceding the Eurofighter.

The EAP was basically a prototype to test the Eurofighter configuration that used Tornado parts like the engines and the tail fin.
If we are talking about prototypes why not add the MBB X-31 as well? Plus the SAAB Viggen probably predates all those fighters.

Four J-10Bs each with 3 external tanks formed a diamond formation, plus two J-10Bs with a single external tank made it a delta. Based on the original note, the two pilots on the outside were instructors.

Original Note: Four pilots and two instructors assigned to an aviation brigade of the air force under the PLA Northern Theater Command fly their fighter jets in a delta formation during a flight exam on February 26, 2021. The four pilots have just completed the training on flight combat skills, which focused on aerial confrontation and flexible tactical options, aiming to enhance the flying skills and tactical cooperation among the pilots.

The two instructors took the lead in taxiing:

The construction number seems J10B0134:

From another angle:

The construction number is a little bit clearer:
