J-10 with twin engines and stealth is J-20.I always wish J10 had twin medium engines.
J16/J15/J11 is more powerful/extensible because of the heavy twin-engine platform.
Think about it, J35 won't carry large ammunition. If a country buys J35+J10, J10 has to carry all the other duties.
i think what you are refering to is now called 'J-15B', PLAN ordered very small amount of J-15T in J-15 standard ealier
That makes no sense, dogfighting performance barely matters IRL. Any MLU'd/modern sino-flanker is better than a J-10C. J-15T/J-11BG/J-16 will be much superior to the J-10C if anything previous exercises is to be considered. J-15T should have a radar similar in technology or more advanced than the latest J-16, BG is more unclear but has a AESA from approximately the same time period as J-10C but would be much bigger due to J-11BG being a heavy fighter and thus would have better BVR performance not to mention all the modernized flanker series has much more space for ECM equipment. If excerise results is to be believen an early J-16's ECM prevented the J-10C from even getting a lock on the J-16 while it was able to shoot at the J-10C. I would expect J-15T to carry similar equipment and maybe J-11BG as part of the MLU package. So anyhow J-10C should be the second to last best PLAAF 4.5 gen fighter, better than J-10B but worse than all modern sino-flanker.A2A:
5th gen: J-20 >
4.5 gen: J-16>J-10C
>~ J-11BG (4.5 gen standard MLU) ~ J-15B ~ J-10B
4th gen: J-11B ~ J-10A ~ J-15 ~ J-15T
No J-35/J-35A in first line service yet, far as we know, only testing on aircraft carriers at the moment
I’m pretty sure that J-16 and J-10C are pretty much toe-to-toe in terms of A2A capabilities. Judging from the Golden Helmet results the J10C may even have the edge over J16 ( I think 2018 was J16, then 2019 and 2020 was J10C, after that I didn’t follow the thing super closely but iirc it was mostly J10C as the victor)That makes no sense, dogfighting performance barely matters IRL. Golden helmet to my knowledge focuses on WVR capabilities which IMO is a good to have but BVR capabilities is much more important as seen in recent conflicts. If you read Yankee's post on PLAAF tactics you'll see that early J-16s smoked J-10Cs in BVR combat excerises.I’m pretty sure that J-16 and J-10C pretty much toe-to-toe in terms of A2A capabilities. 2000s*like i said, J-16 has a redesigned internal airframe with technology of 2010s'
Ew and radars from same country and same period. Chengdu or their contractors (mostly exact same) should've screwed up badly for it to be the case.excerise results is to be believen an early J-16's ECM prevented the J-10C from even getting a lock on the J-16 while it was able to shoot at the J-10C.

well, I'm not sure where you get the "unable to lock" thing from, but as a newer varient, people from 14th Institute could lose their jobs if J-10C has worse EW system... In fact, Yankee mentioned this long time ago, in early year of Golden Helmet, the J-10's was actually better EW than the J-16, at least better than the early varient of J-16That makes no sense, dogfighting performance barely matters IRL.
