Another quick question - Is China still building J-10Cs right now?

If so, is the production still being done on a mass scale, or slowed down in order to wait for newer J-10 variants or entirely newer model (i.e. J-31) to come online?

CAC has handed over J-10 production to GAC as CAC now focuses on J-20 production. It's not known what GAC's production rate and PLAAF's preferred acquisition rate of J-10C is.

Can someone familiar with agreed estimated production rates inform/remind the thread (and me) what the estimated production rates are for J-10 and J-16?

We have an updated estimate of annual J-20 production rate of 60 to 75+. J-16 we have close to 300 units of in total and this probably includes J-16D. That would make it an average production rate of only 30 built per year since 2012. Keeping in mind SAC during that time was also building the J-15. PLAAF preferences wise, it's clear PLAAF is focused on J-20 and the other fighters could easily have considerably higher production rates than 30 to 50 per year (for J-10's estimated previous rate at CAC).

拓拔尊@weibo said 25th is the last j10c ab

but i am bit skeptical. there are still 200 older flanker, 250 jh7/a, 200 j7/8 to be replaced by end of the decade. without j10c, vast majority of above to be replaced by j20 and j16(except a few dozen j31 maybe)?

If J-20 production is already 70+ per year as being discussed in the J-20 thread (after new serial numbers were seen at Zhuhai), then this would be logical.

I would be very careful to take this for granted especially since CB0370 May indeed mean 70th J-20 within batch 03 but never directly 70 per year.

I agree that it is way too early to stop production of J-10. They should at least replace the J-7s.
J-7 could be replaced by Jl-10 if they want to keep the number for booking flying hours and training for pilots. In war scenario, in a war scenario could be replaced with some kind of loyal wingman ucav... I could see more j-10c production to replace old j-10a and for export.
