They shot one... With J20. Most of the videos are snipets from cctv. Some fan made.

I'm seeing a whole bunch of nice promotional videos made by PAF on J-10C. The Pakistanis might be selling this plane better than China is. After NK gets a few used J-10As, maybe the next export destination for J-10C will be Bangladesh. Typically the 2nd largest buyers of Chinese weapons.

That’s what most Chinese people on Weibo think as well. After watching some of those promo videos you’d think that Pakistan is trying to sell the bird to China.

@tphuang my bet is Algeria and then Egypt (both Muslim countries), In Asia Thailand BUT having Gripen in its inventory the backlash will be immense as the only country having 2 canards type aircraft in its inventory.

Algeria typically buys Russian aircraft. While Egypt seems to be moving towards Western equipment purchases again.
Myanmar might be a good candidate as they are already users of the JF-17. As well as Nigeria.

According to an unverified anecdote, the PLAAF was initially wary of inducting the Q-5 Fantan. They did so only after a PAF pilot undertook a test flight of the aircraft, during which he completely wowed the Chinese audience with maneuvers that nobody thought was possible with the plane, including flying inverted.
