4:30 dude chuckled at name of Rafale when reporter asked "We hear Pakistan purchased J-10C to counter Rafale of India..." I wonder if there is stuff we dont know that he finds funny.

Also the video mentioned J-10C replaces Mirage 5, who had role of nuclear strike. It is likely J-10C could be in same role.
It will probably replace a bunch of their mirage planes. They are aged but they have still more than 120 flying !

When a platform change occurs in a squadron their role can also change (this is normal.)

Also, 7 Squadron (one of the 2 squadrons where the J-10C is headed) flies Mirage III ROSE. That's a multi-role squadron deployed in Karachi (at the coast.) It may remain multi-role or may switch to Air Superiority.

The other squadron I heard will be deployed at Kamra, that's Northern Air Command. This is where Rafales are expected, out of Ambala AFB. This squadron would most likely be Air Superiority I'd think.

Finally confirmed! It was long expected, but until now never seen before: A PLAAF J-10C carrying a YJ-83K AShM.

It could mean now that they are quickly adding J-20s, J-10Cs will adapt to more multi-role missions. There is no reason they can't do it.
