I doubt a single-engine TVC design would be able to remove the canards, with only 1 center thrust you don't get any roll control from the engine.
You still have the wing flaperon for roll.

But i don't see why the need of TVC to use BVR missile anyway and High-Angle Off-Boresight (HOBS) missile turn anyway faster than any TVC design to get a lock...

It's just not cost effective but it's a shiny cake glaze.

Throw in helmet mounted cueing into the mix with high off boresight WVR missiles and you almost can negate the need for a fighter to point it's nose at the enemy to get missile lock

It’s not all about offense. TVC can help with defensive maneuvers, provided you use it correctly.

Seems that J-10C deliveries to the PLAAF have stopped.

Don't know if this is credible or not.

Strangely in my mind, starting around late 2020 I would have thought the production of the jet should have stopped in favor of concentrating on the J-16 and J-20, a hint that is similar to the cancellation of the J-11D. Any existing batches would be completed and sent to their assigned units, but no more further production of the J-10 would be built henceforth.

This is fake news anti China propaganda from Dutch source. There is no Dutch visit to CAC in January 2021 as claimed in the article.

There was indeed no "direct visit" by a delegation - especially no Dutch one - at CAC, but there was a "visit" which at least enabled tho see these standing at the tarmac wrapped in camouflaged tarpaulins and also these mentioned J-20As for the 1. Brigade at Anshan.

Believe me ... I've seen at least a few of these images taken during this visit. It is surely not a faked report.
