So far 59 units in Block 2

How many in Block 1 ? Also around 60?

So 120 x J10C in operation ?

How many J10B built ?

There are 53 J-10B build one crashed during testing. So there are 52 J-10B in service. There are 59 J-10C build so far as we know. But there are most likely more.

J-10B was block 1 J-10C is block 2. There is no 120 J-10C just the 59 we know of. But now most likely more than 60.

At least 60 J-10Cs and probably a similar number of J-10Bs. Well over 150 4.5 gen fighters in service within PLAAF and 20 5th gen fighters in the form of J-20. According to Zhongnanhaibaobiao (famous wallclimber), four J-10Cs in service use the WS-10 engines.

In three years, Factory 132 Chengdu (CAC) seems to have completed the production of 60 Batch 02 J-10B / J-10C devices. What about D now?

Guys ... You must have missed my post !!!

Any info on how recent they are?
I'm more than surprised that we completely lost the track on the current highest c/n built at CAC ... the last bird I remember was 2-54 from January 2017 ! So by now more than 9 months without any recent info.

Therefore this calculation cannot be complete and even more that image of 2-59 most likely not a recent one.

Again: We've seen 2-54 already January and so more than 9 months passed by ... THIS CANNOT be the final J-10C ... at least if production was not halted.

J10B started in 2013 and by summer of 2015 around 60 built

Then J10C started in 2015 and here we have 60 units in 2017

Why would it be J-10D instead of J-10C? They'll probably just continue with J-10Cs for batch 3. I really can't think of an upgrade to the J-10C that would elevate its designation to J-10D.

If trend continues we should be seeing 3-3x come end of 2017

Batch 3 and mid 30s in number

J10C upgraded with WS10B and CFTs should warrant a J10D

Is a J10D even possible? In my opinion certainly yes, if a designation was ever in question it should have been J10B to J10C since it's minimal changes

There was a pause in 2015 in between J10B and C so we could be in that pause period right now in between J10C and D
