J-10 and F-31

Thank you for clearing that up. I knew of the X-31 and even saw some footage of it here and there and did not know which program came first.

cost of building is 100 million and 33-38, but cost of selling is much more, because JSF is costing 250 billion to develop and F-22 is costing 65 billion.

Also, J-10 currently has one production line at maximum capacity. When it talks about full production, I presume it's talking about the formation of a second line.

As for X-31, it does seem to look sort of like J-10, but they are in no relation.

hairsplitting, but yes and no.
yes, in the sense that they are a result of same aerodynamic philosophy and thinking going back to Viggen, which was the first close coupled canard tailless delta, iirc (there might have been a mig researchplane too??). Obviously none is a copy of the other thuogh.

The X-31 was just a research tool for the scientists.

yea I know the J-10 isnt gonna be the F-35 for China, but... remake the frame for it

I doubt the J-10 will receive TVC. The J-XX most likely will, but I doubt the J-10 will have a chance, even thought it barely hampers anything.
