The desire for independence / liberty consists of 2 things

1. Patience

2. Perserverance

The Palestinians do not have well armed determined friends like Hizbullah
or certain other benefits like the Chechens and Afghans

Thus they like jews of the ghetto's must await changes in the international
situation before they can have their state

I don't want this to turn into a whole political debate. I want this to be a military discussion. How can the Syrians stop incursions by the IAF? Can Palestinian gunmen wage a guerilla war against Israel and succeed? What measures will Israel take to get their soldier back and how will they deal with Palestinian guerillas?

syria cant stop our f-16 like somone say alredy they military equipment is very old and there ground forces also not so strong

That is unless China or Russia start to sell high tech equipment to Syria (I'm pretty sure that Syria can afford to purchase several dozens SAM units like the ToR-M1 or the S-300, but nobody is willing to sell to them).

Even if that did happen, Israel would just make it a priority to destroy them. There's no point Syria buying assets that Israel can destroy, until it can afford to back them up with a better airforce.

Let's not forget that even if Syria has a good air defence system, it is still probable that their ground forces will be overrun, as they have been in every previous war with Israel and are in worse shape now.

As for the Palestinians, I think that they will continue to bicker. Ever since the formation of the PLO, keeping control and self-enrichment have been the priorities of Palestinian leaders, not the destruction of Israel of the formation of a Palestinian State. And I think we can expect the death of Khaled Mashal soon.

Right now the Syrians are more concerned about the Americans than the Israelis. One of the only reasons why Syria continues to support Hamas is because it's an enemy of Israel. The Baathists in Syria are very wary of Islamists and have used brutal force in the past to suppress the Muslim Brotherhood.

Kinda ironic, don't you guys think? Hamas was created by Israel just like Al Qaeda was created by America. Now both of these groups have turned against their creators...

Now Israel is pounding the shit out of Gaza! They're attacking from air, land, and sea and have increased air strikes. I doubt any guerilla war would ever start up with this kind of bombardment! They've all probably wet their pants and gone home by now.

The Palestinian guerillas have been through much worse. Back a couple of years ago Israel would always commence massive armored strikes into the Palestinian areas and there would be heavy urban fighting with casualties on both sides. The reasons the Israelis may be delaying a strike is because the Palestinians may be more well armed than last time: years ago they didn't even have access to RPG's. That changed last year when some RPG's came in from Egypt (smuggled of course). The Palestinians haven't fought the Israelis head on for several years now so they might have had time to review tactics and strategies.

Having said that, the Palestinians haven't exactly proven themselves to be the most effective fighters. Only an invasion of the Gaza Strip will tell (let's hope that doesn't happen since casualties can hit into the hundreds) what the Palestinians have learned over the years.
