Someone dug in the history of Boeing, the last plane what was designed and manufactured by Boeing, and picked by US military was P-26. Now they started the F-47 project, can anyone believe them?

Boeing did acquire McDonnel Douglas, which designed and produced the F-15 and F/A-18. Technically, the F-15EX as well as the Super Hornet are both Boeing designs. Boeing also acquired Rockwell, the designer of the iconic P-51, arguably the sexiest prop fighter ever made.
