While it is certainly a good thing that troops are finally having standard issue plate carrier vests. One thing that still peeves me is that many soldiers are not wearing their body armor correctly! A properly aligned and sized plate should cover the top of your Aortic arch to the bottom of your diaphragm. The highlighted picture shows how improperly worn plate carriers will leave your heart exposed.

It'll take some time to getting used to the new gear. Someone here said that when combat boots were first issued in PLA, no one was wearing them properly. But slowly people figure it out. This will follow the same patter, at least armors are being issued now.
