Well the current body armour and helmets were built upon what we saw in 2019, but they are clearly not the same. I agree that the 2019 parade point to a direction regarding that the PLA would look like in the upcoming decade, so it displayed many weapons that are either still in IOC or late testing stages (except those in service, of course). Well ultimately what matters is whether the ceramic plates could stop a 7.62x51 NATO 130 grain M80A1 (first shot). That would require a level III+ to level IV, I think.
m80a1 cannot be stopped by militechs nij 3 plus plates. They are an alibaba company whose plates are regularly tested on youtube
