Those plate carriers are way too big. I would hate to wear those and try sitting around in those. It looks like they all got a standard one fits all size and they weren’t able to pick out their sizes? Or is that just their SOP? I’m 5’9 and 170 lbs and a medium SAPI feels uncomfortable to me.
It’s funny to see these photos because they have all of their high speed gear but the goggles are just too funny.
Where’s the comm gear/ear pro? Also what’s the point of those NODs when they don’t have IR/IFF strobes and IR illuminator on their weapons?
Do they not use have combat shirts/pants? Are those the standard flag patches or the camo/IR versions?
The inside joke of these digital NODs is “走路辅助器”, walking aid kit, which means its primary use is not for combat but generally movement at nightLol this is the PLA, it's a big event when a soldier is equipped with both a semi sensible plate carrier and a rifle that has an optic installed.
Those are digital NODs and to my knowledge are not intended to be used with IR illuminators on weapons. I'm not even sure if those NODs are even meant to practically enable night shooting without an actual dedicated thermal scope on a weapon.

you do understand that that is essentially the case of any NVG right? 90% of what an infantry soldier does is essentially walking and waiting. if this NVG can get them to a place at night without tripping and making too much noise, then it is sufficient. The inside joke of these digital NODs is “走路辅助器”, walking aid kit, which means its primary use is not for combat but generally movement at night
