India lead the world in 5G is bullshit because 5G race is over and has been for years now. It's established tech. That's like Mahindra saying they'll lead the world in producing the first electric car. It's a non sequitur of sorts. Adani certainly didn't get his wealth with smarts but even Indians know that lol.

By the time India even implements 5G at the scale China has done by 2019 already, China would be implementing 6G. 6G communications tech is already being developed and trialed in China for years now. Ridiculous Indians a real SP2012 moment from Adani but saying it in 2022. I wonder if these guys even realise how comical they are.

Let me now envision the next 25 years.
We will be the country that will go from a 3 trillion-dollar economy to a 30 trillion-dollar economy, a country with a stock market capitalization of 45 trillion dollars, and a country that will be supremely confident of its position in the world.

5 trillion, 10 trillion, 20 trillion, 30 trillion, 40 trillion? 2026, 2030, 2040, 2047? All those Indian big talkers can't even make up their minds! LOL!

When the goalpost moves around so erratically, this is not a good sign of commitment. How is India gonna get down to work when it can't commit to a specific goal? Those idiots can only fool the China-haters, because that crowd are so desperate for some 'good news' that they will ignore reality.

But reality doesn't care. India's economy stands at $3.5 trillion in 2022. China's economy was $17.5 trillion in 2021, nearly 6 times the economy of India. (To give some context, the US economy is about 24.9 trillion in 2022.) This is despite all the doom and gloom for China and all the JH hurray for India.

For 70+ years, India stagnated, relative to East Asia. So now all of sudden, the Indian economy is gonna grow to 20 - 40 trillion in 25 years? How? What's changed exactly? The arrival of Ambani and Adani? LOL!

Main thing that changed was China. China grew from 1.2 trillion in 2000 to 17.7 trillion in 2021. Growth of such scale was never thought to be possible before.

India saw China's growth and now thinks they'll grow like China miraculously.

It's like a bum watching his hardworking neighbour who's recently become rich. The bum thinks "my neighbour became rich so I definitely will as well"

We will (very optimistically) assume India ends 2022 with a 3.5T economy for the sake of calculation. China's GDP in 2007 was also 3.5T. For India to follow the same growth path as China, we would expect India's economy to grow by 1T next year, to 4.5T at the end of 2023. Because from 2007-2008 China grew by 1T.

Sometimes reality is the hardest hitting of all.

Well, India could very well become a $30 trillion economy by 2040. If USD crashes and devaluates heavily (like 70-80%), then $5-6 trillion Indian economy (in current USDs) will be $30 trillion in 2040 USDs. Maybe those Jai Hinds are just predicting massive dollar devaluation?

Look at the historical USD/Rupee Chart over the past 25 years and you'll know why that is a pipe dream.
