I don't see how that is relevant to the fact Beijing objects to Taiwanese spending because it wants to make a military take-over easier. That was the only point I had to make in relation to the comparison you made over South Korea and Taiwan. For some reason you're horribly upset by me stating what is blatantly obvious to anyone interested in military affairs.

If I were horribly upset, I would stalk you like you do me trying to prove something. I don't. And you should quit digressing bringing in your pro-Taiwan, pro-Japan politics into everything in here. This is afterall a Chinese military forum which means there's going to be people here that want to see China be able to defend herself. Your ID alone says you're going to flame and troll in here. You think taking a name of a racist character in American and British entertainment used to villify the Chinese doesn't say you're all about trouble?

South Korean cruise missiles are claimed to have a range of over 1000km, is there any evidence of a dedicated/capable anti-ship version that would threaten the Chinese carrier(s) from a distance outside their air-superiority envelope allowing cruise missile launch from big/slow platforms such as the ROK's P-3 Orions or C-130s?

South Korean indiginous anti-ship missiles are pretty good also.

And how you easily you forget that the US, Japan, and virtually everyone on the planet recognizes Taiwan as a part of China. It's not another nation.
Please support this statement with relevant statics. I find that very hard to believe not least since I've never seen a modern Western atlas with Taiwan as anything other than a seperate country. What's a polite way to suggest that you are talking out of your bottom? :coffee:

Tell that to the guy that brought irrelevant points in here in the first place to which you probably pulled yours out of his. Or maybe perhaps it's the same one, huh?

Atlases don't tell you anything of the sort. That brings up the question of the credibility of your arguments. Maybe you should ask yourself why Taiwan has a hard time trying to get recognized as a nation in the UN. If it were, regardless of China blocking, the UN would recognize it since it's gone through the ritual of petitioning to become a member. Also that's why you don't see any other countries' embassies, except a few that are on its side, in Taiwan. The ones that don't have embassies state Taiwan is a part of China. That was a part of the deal the US made to get China on its side against the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Sorry to tell you the truth like that.
