And am assuming she's Chinese just like yourself? And if that's the case, why does she hate herself and her ancestors so f..ng much? Is that what her Christ and the Bible has told her to do? Am sorry to say but these Christian nutjobs are the most bigoted mother f..kers I know and have come across on this planet.
Lets not put all the blame on them.
The MSM are very good at demonizing China and Chinese.
Your relative must have succumbed to intense brainwashing in Hong Kong.

$300million annually over the next 4 years funding presently( and unknown amount previously) goes a long way to engage talented professionals to demonize and stir anti China/Chinese hate.

My daughter is one victim.
Luckily for her, I was there to tell her that Singaporean Chinese were just as boorish decades ago when we were poor and refined behaviour came along with our growing affluence.
Problem with China is a lot of them got rich super fast, too quickly for them to transition from their rural habits to urbane living.

Cannot fault my daughter when even many Chinese themselves are brainwashed to believe Tiananmen Square Massacre happened.
That this LIE was able to perpetrate for decades and on going attest to the strength of the US brainwashing talent.
Below are 2 opposing narratives.

July 14, 2017

When troops and tanks moved in on the night of June 3, they persuaded the remaining few hundred protesters to leave the square, saving hundreds of lives.
( In other words, no students left on the square for the PLA to Massacre )

Below are stories by people who saw the "MASSACRE" with their own eyes.

BEIJING - In the predawn hours of June 3, I was sitting on the steps of the Monument to the People's Heroes. I SAW WITH MY OWN EYES what happened when the army opened fire on the students and citizens quietly sitting in the square.

That is a result of Christian indoctrination and cultural genocide. They will peddle concept that christian god is the only god, buddha statues and ancestral altars are fake gods, non-believers will be condemn in hell, etc. They will destroy your ancestral altar and buddha to gain salvation from christian gods and gain acceptance in western society. These so-called christian nut-jobs have in-fact programed self-loathing individuals led to believe in christian ever-lasting life. Self-loathing their Chineseness is part of the program to serve the christian god and the west.
@Dolcevita very true brother very true @Bellum_Romanum bro you had lived here in the Philippine and you had seen and experience how the Church manipulated the populace, thru education ,they owned DLSU my alma mater, Ateneo and UST these were the top university but also at the secondary level such as ST JUDE CATHOLIC School were I was kick out due to being poor...lol. They also had shares in ABS CBN and other old business so in other words they are part of the oligarch system, a system that stem from the Spanish era. So to make the story short RELIGION is used as an instrument of colonization and the American is wise enough to continue it uses to subjugate us.

And it teaches that the Pagan Native Filipino is bad and they were our savior...LOL not knowing that before they came most of the Filipinos are Muslim and are civilized due to interaction between the Chinese and even the Indians. If you study Filipino history we have a thriving community with women rights being respected, its our boon but also our bane cause with multiple tribe with different dialects we are easy picking for the colonizer. And that is were the Spanish Friars came in, being white is also an advantage as the native view them as an Angel cause its their first time ever to encounter an European with magic weapons.

@badoc bro Liu Xiaobo is being funded by the NED. If you read his article he advocate and support the Iraq War, so he is a mouthpieces of the CIA, the pattern is eerily similar to Maria Ressa winning the Noble price but luckily for us, Maria Ressa doesn't resonate and the American pick a wrong person to push their agenda. It is hotly debated here not about her achievement (which many colleague of her question her credibility) but of what purpose, it so obvious that the Nobel award is a political tool to destroy the reputation of people and institution that the US doesn't like.

That is the reason I chose to quote Liu Xiabo in my post.
Perfect example of contradicting narratives from the same side, people funded by the US.

Eye witnesses saw the PLA machinegun mowing down students at the square whom Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo with others, managed to persuade them to leave the square.
Problem is my daughter say some of her Chinese friends in Australia told her, their parents saw it with their own eyes as well.
Brainwashing must be so stronk, they saw it in their dreams, or they have confused it with the riots and violence happening elsewhere where soldiers had to defend themselves after many soldiers were lynched and burned alive by the rioters.

I believe Liu Xiabo is telling the truth in 1917, to claim credit for saving the students long after so called "massacre".
His story dovetails with statements by another prominent member of the protest, the Taiwanese singer Hou Dejian.

My dad served in the PLA during the time, and he was part of the force who were dispatch to Beijing to maintain public order during that chaotic period, When they arrive at the train station they would have to dress in civilian clothing otherwise they will be attacked if spotted by the so-called "student protestors", he clearly remembers one of PLA soldier who still worn the pants issues from the army due to urgency was surrounded by the crowd and got beaten almost to death. they were ordered to go straight to the Great Hall of the People (basically Chinese congress building) and guard the parameter there, as it was almost stormed by a wave of mobs with the stolen armored vehicle after they have killed the crew, the second day during his patrol, he heard multiple gunshots and thus rush to the scene and found several violent mobs attempting to steal a rifle from another patrolling officer, with the help they manage to strangle and detain the guy and thankfully nobody was hurt, However, he did hear that afternoon one of the guys he knew serve in the tank brigade were surrounded by the mob on his way driving a tank back to camp and the died due to heatstroke, he would have crashed those people and be gone with it, but he didn't, because PLA truly believe in serving the people, majority of them would not fight back. During my dad's staying in Beijing he has never heard of the so-called "massacre"

Even these days, Western media are still obsessed with Tiananmen Square, and some HongKonger held events on June 4th for so-called justice for the "victim of the massacre", then WHO shall hold justice for the dead PLA troops? Thankfully nowadays we have the internet, things like assault police and burning people alive get recorded now

Yeah that's right, Mrs "a beautiful sight to behold" herself. I felt quite the satisfaction at the start of the year when she got a look at such a beautiful sight up close.

You can call it “brainwashing”, but more accurately it is “groupthink”. If you don’t go with the popular narrative, then you feel that you are “wrong”. Then it becomes easier to lie, “well, I heard some gun shots, so it’s not really wrong to say I saw people get shot…”

Plus you are living in a western country. The popular opinion is against any sort of patriotism towards China. You can either keep quiet and get along, go along with everyone else, or be loud and alone.

It’s no surprise they are suffering from mental health issues. My guess is that they were already feeling a lot of pressure when they joined the protests.

The whole idea that the police are just waiting to swoop in and arrest all the people who took part in protests is just nonsense. They are only interested in big fish and the small fry’s that got caught were just dumb (like ‘I wasn’t protesting, just at my sister’s cancelled graduation which I had text messages about, but showed up anyways’ guy).

If that nonsense is what they genuinely believe, it is no different from those crazy anti-mask/anti-vax types. Preference of one political system over another is fine if it is logical, like preferring an inactivated vaccine over mRNA because it is a less novel development. However, if you prefer no vaccine because you think Bill Gates and George Soros can track you after, we usually don’t call those people “freedom fighters”…
