Radicals slammed for acts of violence
A government spokesman has strongly condemned radical protesters' violent and vandalistic acts in Tuen Mun and other districts.
"Some people assaulted a police officer on duty and even attempted to snatch his revolver, while some people maliciously trampled and burned a national flag, challenging the national sovereignty, " a government statement read.
Their acts completely disregarded law and order and police would take law enforcement actions against illegal activities resolutely to protect people's safety and restore public order, it said.
