The only thing we loathe about Hong Kong is the Western stench and infection; basically as much as she loathes the fact that no one can stop China's rise to the strongest nation in the world. We love Hong Kong the city though and we'll spend our blood and sweat to turn it into the wholesome Chinese city it was always supposed to be.

Western liberals are not the opposite of a racist. Western liberals are white supremacists. Make no mistake about it. They act like they're accepting of others' opinions but the trick is they still think they have the final say and if they don't like the opinions out there, they can only decide for everyone else because only they can form an intellectual assessment.
I once got into an argument with a white guy over Hong Kong who in general loved to brag that he graduated from an Ivy League School. He was a liberal. Of course he was on the side of the protestors. I was telling him about the incidences of democracy activists beating and attacking people just for not agreeing with them. He said that was a lie and CCP propaganda and if there was video, it was fabricated with actors by the CCP. He said he saw the same kind of videos during Tiananmen Square. I said, "That's funny since YouTube didn't exist back then." I caught him on a lie and he knew it and he stormed off all flustered after that. This guy didn't have any interest in China. So he's a typical Westerner that thinks he can make a final judgement from from a couple things they hear.
Liberals love to think they can't be racist because they're progressives. If you think about Western imperialism and colonialism that tried to take over the world, did it follow Western right-wing or left-wing philosophies? It was left-wing. They think what they do is what's best for everyone else just like how liberals think.

Western liberalism is just a rebranded version of Northwestern European supremacy that has essentially been turned into a religion by Western liberals (not all Westerners). Western liberals are no different from the Crusaders of old. They believe that we must submit to them or die. They are irredeemable devils who commit unspeakable atrocities in the name of "freedom and democracy". We've interacted with a couple of these devils on SDF. It's messed up, but it's the truth.
Once again they are moving the goalposts. Before they say shenzhen was poor/backwards etc. Now they can't use any objective metrics they say stuff like soul which is completely arbitrary. Not to mention a lot of European cities especially those in northern areas can be considered soulless.
I noticed this more and more on westeners since they are running out of real metrics to move the goalposts.
In regards to China, in some ways, the West is getting beat.
In some other ways, the West is getting bitch slapped by China.
They pretend otherwise, but everyone knows what a bitch slapping looks like.
Get use to it, that should become a standard reply to be used more frequently.
