Advocating and promoting violence against fellow Chinese citizens living in Hong Kong is now, and has always been against forum rules, and the main reason that SDF mod's have taken down provocative and hateful threads... I really hate to see you get derailed here again as you have made some nice contributions to the forum lately..
I'd like to see you continue to contribute, and I actually think I do understand some of your emotion, to be honest, many of your recent posts have been kind, informative, and thought provoking...
I say this respectfully Mangiangrexue, really, I value much of your contribution these days, and there are fellow posters who depend on you to help articulate their own feelings and view?
So please friend, could you just dial it back a few notches?

@Brumby What are these? Examples of propaganda in liberal media world-wide? Rioters throw bricks, molotovs at the police, desecrate legislative buildings, beat people at the airport and then complain the police aren't just letting them do it? LOL Everyone actually in Hong Kong from all of these countries sees the ugliness of these rioters and knows that the police are being far too lenient as evidenced by the trouble that the rioters continue to cause. An appropriate response would have them too scared to come out causing trouble ever again, but like I said, with their excessive freedoms, they aren't scared of the police so they commit crimes on camera in broad daylight.

Protesters call for pro-democracy ‘human chain’ across Hong Kong on 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way
Hong Kong protesters are calling for fresh action on Friday in the form of a human chain across the city in support of democracy, on the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way.
A user on the Reddit-like LIHKG forum, often used by protesters to discuss ideas, came up with a called “The Hong Kong Way” on Monday morning. It is uncertain how many people may join the protest as yet.
The Baltic Way, or Baltic Chain, refers to the protest on August 23, 1989, when around two million people joined hands to form a human chain of over 650 kilometres across the three Baltic states — Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania — calling for independence from the Soviet Union.

If this forum is to have any relation to the real world, especially as a military forum, it cannot forbid talk of potential violence. If Americans did not resort to violence against fellow Americans, your country could still be split between the North and South today. Sometimes in life, violence is the only way to bring about peace and denial of that only divorces discussions from reality.
But as you can tell from my post that you quoted, I'm not entirely sure that violence (or a military answer) is the correct response yet as I'm still struggling to understand what Hong Kong is (even without consideration to the riots).

Yes Mr. Brumby, the world is watching, and as President Trump is praising President Xi, and indicating full confidence that President Xi could resolve this peacefully, many of us are hopeful that President Xi will put forth his best efforts to bring this to a peaceful and mutually satisfactory conclusion...
Mod's, please feel free to delete this post if you find it outside the boundaries, I do really pray that this is all resolved peacefully, and satisfactorily for all involved.

First of all, the title of the article is click-bait. The Chinese government can just wait. The HK government will release more stimulus packages and increase social benefits. On the other hand, once the fortune of Hong Kong's tycoons and the multinationals is affected by the protests, even western political establishments, which are firmly in the pockets of the rich and the powerful, may start turning against the protests. Secondly, leaderless organization, the tactics so praised by the author, is essential mob-rule, which is dangerous, because it's often the case that the most radical and risky ideas get implemented eventually. And it's doubly dangerous, because it's leaderless, and nobody will take responsibility. That will be very bad news for both the HK government and the safety of the protester themselves. Finally, opposite to what the author claims, the HK protests set a bad example to mainland China and the rest of the world on how to ruin your own city and destroy your own prosperity.

Yes the world is watching and each us can make independent judgement about social and political issues in alignment with our own personal values.
IMHO, this thread should not be allowed because for the very reason that the SDF disallow political discussions. In my experience in this forum any political discussions go downhill very quickly because the maturity level and emotional discipline is somewhat lacking. However I will not abstain in the face of one sided and often false narrative, country bashing, revisionist themes and conspiratorial type assertions without any shred of evidence. In other words, don't assume we are morons.
I will just post HK protest news related articles and will not comment on them.
