Currently in the district councils, pro-establishment councillors hold 292 seats while pan-democrats have 116 seats and independents hold 23.

I don't know what the tally will be after this election...But my guess would be 80:320:30

A lot of younger voters showed up and most of the young people are pro-democracy.

The rioters have always been better at propaganda. Frankly speaking, these rioters are well organized and often seized the moral high ground. They have succeeded in tearing up the false face of a very large number of Hong Kong people and putting "anti-China" (which is simply "anti-Chinese") on the table. In the middle of their yellow wave, there are no spaces for "independent thinking". Basically, others are "enemy" and they are the "real Hong Kong people" and feel that they are "eggs" that resist "tyranny" and " High wall", indulge in romance and tragic.

In addition, like many mass movements, the yellow media, foreign media, and pro-rioter propaganda have greatly rendered the police as "brutal" and successfully won the sympathy of many elderly citizens. Many middle-class (and they are the more wealthy people in Hong Kong) who are always polite and law-abiding (they are the ones who benefit most from Hong Kong's good law and order) have become anti-police and anti-China . So we have to applause how successful their brainwashed ability.

On the other hand, the pro-Beijing camp, it can be said that they have done nothing. Since the beginning they have basically been unorganized. Most ordinary people are afraid of being harassed and got intimidated to be remained silence. The HK government officers especially the higher ups have no sense of responsibility and have done nothing. Most of the so-called pro-government propaganda has been negative assets. If it were not for the police force and the central government behind it, the government had already fallen for a few months.

This is a little confusing to me. What is a pan-democrat? What is a pro-establishment? The current establishment in Hong Kong is democratic elections so aren't they both democrats? And what party represents the terrorists? What party represents pro-Beijing?
The party names have nothing to do with their ideologies.
Example: The Liberal Democratic Party is anything but "liberal".
Pro establishment is those who'd follow PRC's best interests. Pan democracy don't. They choose to surrender national interest for selfish interests. Its very simple.

This might be true, but I don't expect Australia to hand him over with the rise in anti-China sentiment in that country and the West in general.
Australia certainly will not hand him over until squeezing out of the last drop of juice from his story for propaganda purpose, just like Canada holding Lai Changxing the smuggler until he squandered all his illegal cash in Canada.

Bad night for DAB with more than 100 candidates losing
As of 2.30am, the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong says more than 100 of the 182 members it sent to the district council polls have lost.

me wondering if Glob. Times will say it's probably rigged

I don't know what Global Times would say. But all these years, I only have heard that the pro-Democracy parties calling the elections are rigged. On the other hand, the Pro-Beijing parties have only complained about some elections irregularities.
