It is unbelievable that the western MSM, together with their law and order brigade can't see the irony in this quote!

The "LAWMAKERS" in Hong Kong, particularly that Mao woman, never ever condenmed the violence from the rioters!

Now let's see:

If you are the lawmaker, then you set laws, and expect the populace to respect that law, and if they don't, than you expect law enforcement officers to enforced that law!

So when law-breakers continues to break the law by beating people who disagree with them, (or even just singing the national athem). And go on a wanton destruction and vandalize properties.

The police who enforced and protect the very law the "lawmakers" have set. And getting a beating for their trouble, and have their personal information make public causing their children to be bullied at school!

So these "lawmakers" instead of thanking the police and condemning the rioters, have condenmed the police and encourage the rioters to continue their behaviour!

Meanwhile, the western MSM continues with their headlines as above, and our law and order member felt no irony in posting that here!

These "pro-democracy" politicians are an absolute disgrace! Forget claudia mo, Idk how she keeps getting all these media attentions given how small her political party actually is. This guy is the vice chairman (2nd highest position) of the largest pro-democracy party, and just yesterday he tweeted some racist remarks, celebrating the absence of mainland chinese in HK?!

I still remember how just few months ago at early phase of protest these people would try to appease to mainland tourists, protesting in Kowloon touristy areas, spouting slogans in mandarin, or saying the same old euphemistic argument of "we are not anti-china, we love ordinary mainlanders, just anti-CCP"; I guess when noone is buying into these BS people like him start showing their true color..

lol it's literally the same kind of discriminatory remarks trump has made all the time. There are even more but you can simply check his own tweets from those links. No wonder why these last 2-3 weeks calls for more american intervention is becoming more frequent. The fact that people like him can get elected into the largest opposition party is also alarming imo. I wouldn't be surprised and actually support it if there are more measures for screening on these elected politcians after this movement; clearly mere the oath restriction implemented few years ago are not enough.

That is unfeasible as it is such a beneficial common practice to wear masks when either people are sick or air quality is poor. They should criminalize/penalize concealing the identity of someone committing crimes (if this is not already explicitly the case), this would cover the use of any item by a criminal to conceal their own identity and behaviors such as people holding up umbrellas to hide others assaulting people or destroying property, assaulting/harassing/robbing others of their phones/cameras that is capturing/captured potential evidence of criminal activity, deletion/destruction of such potential evidence, people vandalizing security cameras, shining lasers/lights at police/security cameras/journalists/photographers, etc.

I would say this is more funny than disgusting. These people are so devoid of ideological and moral principles, they are simply embracing the opposite of what they believe they are opposed to. They are like kids who just realized that swearing causes a reaction in adults.

Just as those kids have no understanding of what those swear words actually mean, these foolish pawns of Western imperialism have no understanding of what the Japanese invasion of China means.

Someone mentioned that a lot of the rioters are children of Vietnamese boat people. Perhaps that's why they do not understand (or care). After all, if they do not consider themselves to be Chinese in the first place, why should they care how many Chinese were killed by the Japanese?

This is what happens when you let ungrateful people live in your home. Eventually, they start believing they own the house.

China on Thursday strongly urged the U.S. side to respect China's sovereignty and immediately stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs in any form.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang made the remarks in response to reports that U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a news conference on Wednesday with House members as well as Joshua Wong Chi-fung and Denise Ho to back the so-called Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019.

"China is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposes this move," Geng said at a press briefing, accusing Pelosi and other U.S. politicians of confusing right from wrong, engaging with Hong Kong separatists and grossly interfering in China's internal affairs.

Geng reiterated the position that Hong Kong affairs are purely China's internal affairs and brook no interference from any outside forces.

"We strongly urge the U.S. side to abide by international laws and basic norms governing international relations, respect China's sovereignty, and immediately stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs in any form and advancing the Hong Kong-related act," Geng said.

He also called on the United States to stop backing the violent and radical forces as well as Hong Kong separatists and desist from supporting any moves undermining Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.
