H-6 is some real ancient stuff, I hope something far more survivable and capable will take over its anti-shipping role in the future. I don't see it surviving in its role at all.

The original and the earlier H-6 variants are very old indeed, but the newest H-6K and H-6N variants are less than a decade old.

Finally a small but clear image of a PLAN Naval Aviation H-6J with the serial number '9081' assigned to the Southern Theater Command Independent Bomber Regiment.

This image fits to reports on recent naval drills but adds a correct image:

it is interesting the Chinese never dealt with the geometry of the tail, which was dictated by the 1940s era need of a manned tail gun turret. The turret and gunner position is long gone, but its outline and the fuselage geometry to facilitate its presemce is still there. Paint the windows back on and you wouldn’t notice the tail gun turret is gone.
