So far we had only small and blurry images of former-PLAN Naval Aviation with low visibility markings, so if I'm not mistaken, this one is the clearest image so far of a H-6L assigned to an ETC Bomber Division. (Image via @中国军号 from Weibo)

Still rarely seen - AFAIK there are at best a handful of images available - a new image showing a PLAAF H-6N Bomber carrying a YJ-21 (?) air-launched ballistic missile was posted. (Image courtesy of DBCG via Huitong‘s CMA-Blog)

Again after a longer break, a PLAAF H-6N bomber carrying a YJ-21 air-launched ballistic missile. Even if some still claim otherwise, this is NOT a PLAN bomber and therefore I‘m also not sure if the missile is indeed an anti-ship weapon or not just an air-launched BM.

I doubt this was designed as an anti-ship weapon. Although it could certainly be used as one given the proper electronics and guidance.
It just seems kind of a waste to make such a huge ballistic missile for a mission like that. Unless the target is an aircraft carrier or something like that. I think it is way more likely this is intended as a system to make theater strikes against hardened enemy bases or other high value strategic targets.
