i keep wondering if there is in fact triple pylon for h6k/j inner hardpoints, in which case by my calculation a single sortie can carry 14 kd88-like missiles, and that is quite a delivery capacity

The wingspan and footprint of KD-88 means such a thing won't really be plausible.

If they developed a new missile with a smaller footprint like JSM, JASSM, Kh-59MK2, or even just a similar one to KD-20 but smaller, then it would be plausible.

oh, didnt know there is a wing span issue - would a dual pylon work in your opinion?

and, like you said, i do expect there to be a 700kg-ish LO cruise missile with some 200nm range for H6K/J, as it would nicely fit the regional strike mission profile. KD20 is little bit of an overkill for the first island chain targets, isnt it?
