  1. The H-20 is expected to be a supersonic flying-wing stealth bomber. Its supersonic capability primarily aims to extend the range of air-launched missiles.

Some of us have suspected as much for years, yet the doubters persist.

The video mentioned that the H-20's maximum speed may range between Mach 1.5 to 1.8. Barring unforeseen changes in the future, supersonic capabilities should be a key design goal of the H-20 bomber.

Is that with or without afterburners?

Did the speaker mention anything about supercruise performance?

The speaker said that whether to support supercruise should depend on the cost. If the cost is prohibitively high, there is no need to endorse it, as supersonic technology is primarily used to enable missiles to achieve a longer range.

Actually I don‘t beliefe any such Claims of being a Mach 1.5-1.8 supersonic Flying Wing
Firstly, that channel is just a little too prolific for my taste, they have nearly 730 videos with the oldest only from one year ago. They are either a content factory or randomly grabbing content from elsewhere and indiscriminately reposting for clicks.

Secondly, even if we were to take the channel itself as honest, the guest speaker seems to avoid answering the question at first like he doesn't want to commit to a concrete answer before he finally spits out the 1.5-1.8 numbers. If I were talking to someone who answered my questions like that in real life, I would think he was lying to me.

Either way, I don't really consider it a reliable source and have no reason to believe they have any kind of actual insight.

The latest paid Chahuahui mentioned with the latest advanced Scramjet missiles, the H-6 may finally be pushed to the limit. There could potentially be a push for a larger bomber in the future? I doubt H-20 would be able to carry this task due to being a stealth bomber hence whatever it carries will have to fit into its IWB.

Did the Guancha Gang actually mentioned the bolded sentence?

Depends on the ultimate overall design of the H-20.

If the H-20 has reasonably large/long IWBs (perhaps through the usage of cranked kite flying wing design or its variantions), then theoretically speaking, it could fit larger/longer missiles.

Still, it's much conjecture at this point.

Yes, start from 37:18 onwards from the podcast.

Unless H-20 is like a insanely massive like never seen before massive bomber, I doubt it could fit the type of missile they are talking about. They are talking about the Beijing sledgehammer type missile, the kind H-6 could only barely carry.

But I doubt they have actual info on this and is basically their speculation

Personally, I don't think the H-20 is going to be that big (and I mean the Tu-160-kind of big).

Speaking of which, the H-20 likely doesn't have to - And that the H-20 likely doesn't need to carry the Beijing Hammer missile either.

Given that we've already seen the YJ-17, YJ-19 and YJ-20, where all three are UVLS-capable - Therefore, if the H-20 has long enough IWBs to fit the air-launched variants of these missiles for land-attack/nuclear-strike purposes, then it should be broadly sufficient.

Per my previous guess-timations - The Beijing Hammer is about 13-16 meters long, whereas all the UVLS-capable YJ-17, YJ-19 and YJ-20 are below 9 meters long. Hence, the dimension difference between the two missile types is actually pretty vast, so to speak.

Which means the H-20 would only need IWBs that are ~9-10 meters long, instead of having to cram a ~14-17-meter long IWB in order to fit the Beijing Hammer.

This is also coupled with the advantages of launching at higher altitudes and at (high-subsonic) speeds (meaning achieving longer strike ranges than their surface-launch counterparts), alongside the VLO + ECM characteristics of the H-20 itself (meaning being able to get closer to the enemy targets than the H-6K/J/N ever could before dropping payloads).
