Honestly debating whether to bin or keep 10-15 year old airframes becuase plenty of something better is available is a good problem to have.
If I were PLAAF, I would try hard to sell used J-10C to friendly nations and replace them with J-35A first, and run on J-10A/B basically to life-ex then replace with UADFs. J-16s replace JH-7A and J-11B with a preponderance in WTC/CTC along with vanilla J-20. STC/NTC/ETC tactical units would predominantly be J-20A/S, J-35A and GJ-11 for strike. Growth in airframe numbers would generally be by introducing UADFs and CCAs.
