The F-22 one tho is an "underlayer". The "metalic" strips at Raptor is a conductive strip which contain silver flakes, to help equalize the electrical properties of the airframe prior to RAM painting.

While mishaps happen and accidents are common for fighter aircraft, especially single engine ones, the timing is very bad. The goal here is intimidation and any accident or mishap will have the opposite effect. Imagine if a Chinese plane crashed during the ADIZ incursion.
Clearly a foot in the mouth moment... at least they have been able to sort out heir problems without help. Don't know where the F-35 ended his course. Maybe something to grab to study.

So curious, if "Chinese fishermen" somehow recovers it, does it need to return it to the US?
Would the US CVG basically be loitering in the area until salvaging ships arrive/give up to prevent PLAN recovery operations?
