According to F16.net's F-35 database, here's how many F-35s have been produced (meaning rolled off the lines) so far by country. This does not mean that this many are in the hands of the users. Quite a few of these are still at the factory undergoing final factory testing before being sent to the buyers. But, though all of these have not been delivered....this is how many have been produced.

The US so far has had 242 produced. 126 Alphas for the USAF 68 Bravos for the USMC, and 28 Charlies for the US Navy.

Wiih the 53 going international and the 242 for the US, this means that a total of 295 aircraft have been built.

...and the beat goes on!

Now that is exciting news for partners and friends, sad news for the bad boys??:(

While that's quite a few birds my simple 2 part question 1) how many are combat ready and certified that way 2) in light of yesterday's action in Syria in every ones opinion will some be sent to Iraq or some other base my guess is 50-50 either way

They are not full mission ready, If Trump deployed fighters it would be F22's or legacy.
The USMC reckon their F-35Bs are ready for combat, though that could just be Marines itching to get into a fight! There is a big difference between IOC and FOC of course, but I would be happy to put money on the Leathernecks being the first to take the lightning into combat, and a lot sooner than the 'experts' are currently predicting...

Beaureaurats: "Wait there's still all these forms to fill out!"

Marines: "Screw that I'm gonna Bomb something!"

...to put it in simpler terms!
