Hi,
because Germany is also considering to pull out from FCAS programme.

Germany Considers Split From France On Next Generation Fighter

Disagreements over Future Combat Air System workshare mean Germany is also looking at teaming up with the UK or Sweden on its future crewed fighter.
thank you

Well, no, Sweden definitely don't have the resources to develop a brand new jet fighter again. Gripen already is straining them. And Germany can't supply much into the aircraft development except money. The UK led team is already moving their project forward so joining in collaboration is too late.

Gripen E at this point is mostly a done thing(working towards IOC). And for better or worse, it shows that they can do same again. Just not everything at the same time.

Unfortunately it's too late to join GCAP. Germany has everything to build an aircraft on her own, except an engine. The easiest way would be to license produce the GCAP engine and integrate it in a new fighter. Luftwaffe wants a big aircraft.

On the other hand Germany should also go all in on Wingman and CCA. Maybe manned fighters won't even be necessary at all as they enter service only in 2040s.

German defence Budget will soon be larger than France's and UKs combined.

Well, they still have EJ2000 itself, and MTU still exists. Up to debate if MTU is truly up to the task to design an engine by themselves, but they do indeed have money to throw at problems, and their starting position is certainly better than Korean/Turkish ones.

Furthermore, as China recently shown, one may want aircraft, or they want to make excuses.

Even with EJ200(230/270?)
3-4 engines aren't best, they aren't somehow legally prohibited either.
Alternatively, idea to build their bespoke Ural bomber can be shelved, and they may do away with a more moderately sized aircraft.

Think about this next time you hear Germany has a larger economy than Russia. The Germans cannot make aircraft jet engines worth a damn. They can't even make an engine for the Taurus cruise missiles. The engine is imported from the US.
There is still time to start on it. With luck they will have an engine in 15 years.

They can make the rest of the aircraft. Yeah well so can Sweden, a country with 10 million people.

If you cannot make the engines you do not have an independent aviation sector.

DLR makes these subscale model airplanes which never go anywhere.

Germany knows how to make diesel engines, ICE cars, and gas turbines for power generation. They have a chemical industry. And that is about it.

Shame that ICE is headed the same way as Kodak and the chemical industry is moving elsewhere because of the energy costs and carbon taxes.

Germany needs a better Army than it has, more investment, but ignore the civilian economy and the country will go into the toilet.
