US shipbuilding isn't competitive to European standards. Automation and ship systems monitoring and remote management are fields where US shipbuilding are decades behind European and Asian standards. Foreign nations rather prefer to buy non-US ships and then add US subsystems like radars or combat suite to the mix.
I think thats the third competition theyve won in a row.
They have no 5th gen competitors. Only competition for now if 4.5 gen like Rafale/Typhoon/Grippen or whatever warmed over 1970s crap Boeing are pushing.

90s not 70s. Boeings fighters are the F15E based or FA18E based options. F15E had significant changes made enough to classify it as a new aircraft and dates to the late 80s early 1990s the Rino despite the Hornet name and designation was a complete redesign compared to the older Hornet and dates from the early 1990s.

F-35 won officially as reported yesterday.
Gripen-E and Super Hornet were close seconds, Dassaults and BAE weren't too hot on giving any manufacturing & heavy maintanance so they lost many points on competition, it's said Finland has more access for F-35 maintanance outside US and Israel.
Yearly maintanance cost for 64 F-35's is 250 million euros.

As women increasingly are hired into traditionally male jobs via affirmative action laws or indirect pressure via media, we see more and more incompetence. Interestingly, the apparently only male navigator on board, the commanding officer, was asleep when the mistakes were made. The Navy is hiding the names of who were where, so we can only guess at whether everybody involved was a woman, but according to the numbers above, where 4 out of 5 were women, and knowing the CO was asleep, it would appear 100% were female....
