so I actually looked through this list finally. Their areas of export leverage (that they think they have are).

AeroEngine and parts
CNC tools
Bearings
Powdered super alloys
Gas turbines
passenger aircraft

I can honestly go through each of them and debunk the futility of that, but it feels like a giant waste of my time. It's just hilarious this is all they got.

And again, having looked through Wassenaar Arrangement and how many hurdles China has overcome in the past year, these suggestions just honestly look ludicrous.
Agree. Maybe only passenger aircraft is the only one among their list where they still have an edge over China.

Germany’s machinery industry is headed for its longest production downturn in over three decades, according to the VDMA engineering lobby.
The decline in machine engineering is adding strain to an already ailing industrial economy, with companies like Volkswagen AG and Robert Bosch GmbH cutting output and staff.
The VDMA expects German machinery production to recover next year, but only by 1%, after a slump partly caused by US tariffs that have led to a 9.4% fall in machinery shipments to the US.
