Chinese engineers have allegedly successfully developed a new integrated propulsion system (IPS)–“a medium-voltage, —which would allow more power for a catapult assisted take-off but arrested recovery (CATOBAR) aircraft launch system similar to the U.S. Navy’s electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) without having to resort to nuclear power
But to confirm it 100%, just wait and see
If it is indeed nuclear powered, the Island would not be made very long to incorporate a chimney and it would look more like this below.
Its a small advantage, slightly more deck space since island takes up less space.

Yes, IEP is implied but not confirmed. With a MVDC power network, IEP is the natural solution for propulsion. But we've also heard many rumors about steam, so it's too soon say 003 will have an IEPS just because they will use MVDC for the catapults.
Pretty much a toss-up between steam, gas turbine, and IEP at this point. However, as the 004 will begin construction soon (if it hasn't already started) we can speculate if that one will have IEP or perhaps even nuclear.
Or with a future carrier, perhaps even nuclear IEP?
