Found another patent 201610437492.X filed by Harbin Polytechnic University in the same year as the one above in post 3078. It is in Chinese, if you are interested you can get it from google patents.

This time, it is a linear motor and linear eddy current brake. It works in the same principle as above. The advantage that I can see are 1. Better heat depreciation because the conductor (where the eddy current is generated) stretched out through the length of the deck, and 2. No cable drum and cable routing mechanics. The drawback is that there can only be one launch track placed in the middle of the two arresting tracks on the angled deck, this however seems to fit all rumors of 002 have only one angled deck launch rail.

There is no photo evidence of this linear design being tested in full size so far.
Hm.

How they can adjust the resistance ?
I mean, reliably .

I've checked the pictures available on this forum ,and there is no image that showing the cranes lifting anything.

It is surprising, the crane on the Ford building spent best part of its time to lift modules.

So they building very slowly, or there is no building activity for a while.

It seems from the first picture that they are uniting the modules. This is always a critical time, when the modules must fit almost perfectly well.

The second picture must be older, cause i dont see the second module.
Actually, the second photo is a repost from a photo posted on october 9. I havent been able to find the first photo in the older photos, but i wonder if it is a repost too.

A new image of the first Type 003 aircraft carrier under construction.

Are these already segments of the deck?

This photo seems to suggest that they have made little progress since july. The amount of modules looks to be the same. I wonder if they have already united those modules already in place.

What i find weird is why those semi-assembled cranes keep appearing and dissapearing from the photos that are posted in this forum.
