The construction of the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard towards the right doesn't seem to be anywhere near completion??? Seriously, was hoping that we could see the mass construction of the 054B FFGs and 076 LHDs as soon as the moving of Hudong-Zhongua to Changxin Island is complete this year!

As I wrote before, even with their existing production facility at HDZH, they can still build one LHD sized ship with multiple frigates at their existing site at once.
And for frigates, HP contributes has potent production capability as well.

For me, the construction progress for HD's new Changxing island site is about as expected, and may be a good opportunity to recalibrate your expectations..

It should be far less problematic.

Source: Trust me, bro.
Well, which part of his post do you think is wrong?

1. US EMALS has development issues?

2. Chinese EMALS uses a different technology?

Or

3. We haven't had any news on the EMALS installation progress on Fujian?

The point is, EMALS is a new tech and of course it will make Fujian more complicated than most other carrier constructions, but that doesn't automatically mean Fujian will have the same amount of issues as Ford. We simply don't have enough data on this right now.

It is even more than just being an EMALS, this is China's first catapult take off system put onto a vessel. There is a lot of unknowns here that will have to be tested, policies and procedures to created, etc.

The old HDZ yard has to do military construction for a while. HDZ is chock full of LNG carrier and mega containership orders that will keep the new yard busy for a while. As both types of ships are considered flagships in the commercial ship industry, HDZ would like every order they can get as it cements HDZ into the elite rank of shipbuilders.
