The livestream is still going on, they bought up a few interesting thing:

Two lifts, both on starboard is actually a decision made after a lot of thought. US has an odd obsession with having a lift on port side (they went through a book on USN carrier proposals to demonstrate the point) which PLAN does not share. Although you can park aircraft on this elevator there are lots of work that you can't do on it. Getting rid of it and just keeping two elevators on the starboard results in Fujian. Due to huge size of J-15 flight deck space is in great demand and PLAN probably judge it to be more important than 3rd lift.

This is 100% J-15T according to them. Note the upgraded IRST. There's also something that gives off that it has a strengthen front gear but I didn't understand which part they meant.

The AESA on the 1130 was mentioned. Having an AESA could lead to using it for EW purposes. Also they pointed out that the original 1130 was first seen on Liaoning, and this new upgraded 1130 again makes first appearance on a carrier, so we might see 004 again showing a new CIWS. The first that comes to mind is laser CIWS but Xi points out that a microwave CIWS has been successfully tested and might be more likely.

What would be the consequences of having one elevator out of action due to damage/malfunction/maintenance during wartime

By the way, is there any literature on how common elevator failures are in US carriers and how it affects their operations?

This actually confirms what I said about lack of deck space on Fujian.

Anyway, congratulations to Chinese people, nice looking ship, I hope that a younger brother/sister is allready in the works? Also, let's not forget the aircrafts to fill them...

About Fujian, a very good name, because of meaning of Fujian proince for Chinese naval history.
