Always funny to read how the West consistently attempted to undermine China's rise with such disregard and arrogance and condescending attitude. The Melbourne story is basically Australia thinking that they can give us garbage without consequences, as if China was the natural garbage-collector of the West, as if they thought that the Chinese people were content to basically eat the breadcrumbs from their dumpster and forever remain their cheap manufacturing slaves.

They wont know what hits them.

We never forget. Never forgive.

Never forgive, even? This may be your personal life view, but please don't confuse this with the rest of China or Chinese people in general by using the word "we".

I agree. I am a Chinese and I think this sentiment has no place here in this forum. Lets just enjoy and rejoice in a country's achievement without any political or patriotic chest beating. There are many other forums for that.

Australia sent the Melbourne to the Hinese. Of course Australia would restrict anything she though might pse an imminent threat to Australia. That's now over 30 years ago.

As to the "Never forget...never forgive." attitude, let me add this as a moderator:

You had best watch this attitude.

SD focuses on Chinese/Sino defense, but it is also a world-wide defense forum and such a lopsided and adversarial attitude will invariable lead you to problems here.

Read SD's rules of behavior. they are available on each forum.

If you abide those rules and the attitude they portend...you will do fine. If you go over board with the type of thing you said above, I can almost promise you troubles in the future. Warnings,, suspensions and ultimately being banned.

Thanks.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THE MODERATION

I don't see why you are upset? I don't see anything wrong with RE.If anything I salute the determination and ingenuity of Chinese engineer. Having reference model makes life easier. RE is not easy as some people thought. Anyway, the production model is completely Chinese design. It was astute decision on the part of PLAN, even when money is hard to come by they continue with Carrier R&D until time allowed them to build the carrier

Some Internet users use a real image produced F-15 coming from the electromagnetic catapult aircraft carriers imaginary figure, very realistic. Expect to see this scene a reality in China 002 type aircraft carriers, then we truly caught up with the US aircraft carrier battle force. (Source: Oversized adds1111)

Sina military Depth: two electronic catapult catapult line has been completed in the Chinese Navy carrier-based aircraft training base installation. Three shooters?! C'mon!!

This shows that China's electromagnetic catapult has been put into use, that model has been named officially handed over the military, this is the official count of the armed forces, indicating that no longer exist immature mature and reliable unreliable problem.

Huh? What does the TaihuLight have to do with EMALS development? China is not new to supercomputing! Sunway previously build a supercomputer with thier own CPU - BlueLight MPP (2011). Dawning has been making supercomputers since 1995. They have plenty of experience in that field. That does not apply to CATOBAR carriers.

Last I looked, there isn't much similarities between EMALS and supercomputers. The fact China can excel in the latter doesn't mean it could do so in the former. I personally don't doubt China will get EMALS working, if it so chooses, but currently, it's still experimenting.
