It's worth mentioning that the "1000 sorties through June 19th", if I'm reading it correctly, should be specified as:
- For Liaoning, from 25th May to 19th June, about 700 sorties cumulative were conducted
- For Shandong, from 9th June to 19th June, about 350 sorties cumulative were conducted

As far as I can see, "sorties" are inclusive of both fixed wing and helicopters.

I cannot see where in the report they said that PLAN carrier proficiency was "not much different from America" unless that is a different report.

Looks like they have concluded the CV-vs-CV exercises in the WestPac and are now returning to base.

Once Fujian enters PLAN service later this year, hopefully Shandong can quickly undergo retrofit/upgrade works to achieve the post-MLU Liaoning capabilities in order to operate J-35s.
