Cost of upkeeping a fleet

Recently, I saw a thread on a Chinese forum regarding the cost of upkeeping 171 per year. There was a lot of speculation, but nothing really made sense. So, I'm guessing I'm reaching out to our naval experts. How much does it take to upkeep some of the inventory in USN?

I didn't think this was a simple enough question, so I did not put it in the FAQ thread.

For example, how much does it cost to pay for the maintenance, servicing, crew members and operational cost of say a LA class SSN or a burke or a Nimitz class Carrier? I'm assuming that these ships do their regular training and sailing and such.

These figures come from global security but I think they are close to accurate.

CVN-68 class $160 million annualy
SSN-668 class $21 million annualy
DDG-51 class $21 million annualy

That's the total cost. Upkeep, supplies, operating cost, crew cost. etc..

Oh by the way that's the cost for each ship...ouch! On the CVN's I'm not sure that includes the airwings....

well, I guess if the navy does get 1/3 of the 440 billion national defense budget (150 billion?), it can actually afford all of this.

So, you are looking at 12 x 160 = around 2 billion per year on the carriers.
for 50 DDG-51 (DDG-51 to DDG-99 that are commissioned), that's 1 billion per year.

I wonder how much these Chinese ships cost to operate........
